    Cumin seed, 1 tsp (remove)
    Mustard seed, yellow, 1 tsp (remove)
    Olive Oil, 1 tbsp (remove)
    Tamarinds, 30 (remove)
    Red Ripe Tomatoes, 3 large whole (3" dia) (remove)
    Brown Sugar, 1 tsp packed (remove)
    Raw Toor dal - 0.5 cup, 2 serving (remove)


1 serving = 1 cup
Wash the lentils and put in a pressure cook with 5 cups of water and tomatoes and salt. Add tamarind paste and sambhaar powder. Place the lid with whistle and cook for 5 whistles. Turn off heat.

When the pressure goes down open the lid and keep on simmer.

In a separate pan, heat oil and add mustard and cumin. When they start spluttering, Add turmeric and red chilli powder if needed. Turn off heat.

Add this mixture to the simmering lentils. Turn off heat and serve hot.
