These little poppers are great to take to your next gathering. The spicy pepper, the creamy cheese and the crispy bacon make this appetizer a winner every time!I've seen versions with just the jalapeno stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon, but for only a few extra calories I decided to step it up a knotch. Ingredients

1 lb (5 links) Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage (to kick up the heat even more you could use hot italian instead)
8 oz fat free cream cheese
1/2 C sweet red pepper, chopped
1 C 2% shredded mexican cheese blend
24 jalApenos, cut lengthwise and seeded
2 - 12oz pkgs of center cut bacon
Directions
SERVING SIZE IS 2 STUFFED JALAPENO HALVES
Heat a skillet to med-high heat. Remove turkey sausage from casings and brown the turkey.
When turkey is cooked through. Cut cream cheese into cubes, add red peppers and shredded cheese directly to the skillet. Stir mixture until cheeses are melted and the mixture has throughly combine.
Stuff each half of jalapeno with turkey and cheese mixture and then wrap with a toothpick secure 1/2 piece of bacon wrapped around the stuffed jalapeno.
You can either bake at 350 in an oven or you can grill over low-med heat for approximately 20-25 minutes or until bacon is crispy. Being sure to keep jalapenos stuffed side up at all times during cooking.
