Ingredients

    1/2 tsp black pepper
    3 tbsp chopped fresh basil, chopped
    1/3 cup olive oil
    1 large clove garlic, minced
    1 small red onion, chopped fine
    3 scallions (green & white), chopped fine
    1 pint (2 cups) cherry or grape tomatoes, cut in half
    1/2 cup sunflower kernels
    1 pound Orzo, cooked & rinsed in cold water
    3 tbsp red wine vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp kosher salt

Directions

Combine basil, vinegar, garlic, salt, pepper & olive oil. Mix well. toss with remaining ingredients. Chill before serving. Makes appoximately 12 servings.
