Introduction

A reduced fat version of my family favorite. Yields 18 Tablespoons. A reduced fat version of my family favorite. Yields 18 Tablespoons.

Ingredients

    1 4oz. package of Blue Cheese Crumbles
    (Private Selection used in calculations)
    1/3 Cup low fat buttermilk

    1/3 cup reduced fat sour cream
    (Kroger used)
    1/4 cup light mayonnaise
    1 Tbsp white wine, rice, or white vinegar
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/4 teaspoon Splenda or Truvia
    1/4 teaspoon kosher salt or to taste
    ground black pepper to taste

Directions

Place buttermilk and Blue Cheese crumbles into a medium bowl. Using the back of a heavy spoon, a fork, or a potato masher, mash the crumbles into the buttermilk until it resembles cottage cheese. Do not over mash.

Add mayonnaise, sour cream, and vinegar into buttermilk and cheese mixture. Blend well. Add garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Allow to chill. Keeps for up to two weeks.
