Ingredients

    4-5 lbs. roasting chicken
    1 lb beef short ribs
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 bunch celery, chopped
    2 pounds baking potatoes, peeled and chopped
    2 tbsp salt
    1 tbsp pepper
    2 cups carrots, diced
    2 can cut green beans
    1 cup frozen peas
    1 cup frozen corn
    2 cups tomato juice
    3-4 tbsp chicken bouillon granulated

Directions

Fill 10 quart kettle 1/2 full of water. put chicken and beef in water. cook until tender (about 2 hrs). once it starts to boil, keep on medium. take off all fat and skin off chicken and beef. bone meat and cut in chunks. add onions, celery, cabbage, tomato juice, salt, pepper, bouillion granuals. simmer 1 hrs longer. add carrots, potatoes, green beans, peas and corn. cook another house. makes 25, 1 cup servings
