Ingredients

    1 lb carrots, peeled *6 medium)
    1 head celery
    1 cup chicken broth
    1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
    1 tbsp soft margarine
    salt and pepper

Directions

cut carrots and celery into juilenne strips about 2 inches (5cm) long.

in sauce pan bring stock to boil, add carrots, cover and boil fir 5 min. Add celery, cover and simmer for 5 min longer or until vegetables are tender-crisp. drain and add basil and margarine, season to taste and mix lightly. Serve hot
