    1 can garbanzo beans, some water from the can reserved
    8 jumbo black olives
    1 tsp olive oil
    salt and pepper to taste
    other spices optional: thyme, lemon, garlic, cayenne pepper, roasted red peppers, etc


Place everything in a food processor and blend until smooth.

Makes about 6 1-tbsp servings.
