    225g penne pasta
    3 chicken breasts no skin chopped into strips
    4 slices of bacon
    3 cloves of garlic
    spicy pepper sauce (I used morrisions salsa dip)
    1 can of tomatoes
    1 tsp lazy chilies
    80g parmasan cheese optional


Serves 4
Bring large pan of salted water to the boil. Place penne pasta in the pot and cook for 8-10 minutes, until al dente, and drain.
Place chicken, bacon,garlic and onion in a large skillet over medioum heat and cook 10 minutes, until bacon is evenly brown and chicken juices run clear. Drain grease.
Mix pasta sauce into skillet. Continue cooking until sauce is heated through. Mix in prawns and cook for 2 minutes, or until prawns anre opaque. Stir in chile pepper. Toss with cooked pasta and 1/2 parmasan cheese just before serving. Garnish with remaining Parmansan

  • not low fat or good for diet bacon shouldnt be part would substitute canned diced tomato and italian seasoning - 10/19/09

    fair enough - I struggle to eat enough fat some days! But each to their own. What would you sustitute canned diced tomatoes for as these are already part of it? The bacon I cut off all the fat - still it gives it a nice flavour, I also add what ever herbs I have - fennal seeds being my favourite.
