Ingredients

8 cups chicken broth
one half turkey kielbasa, diced
1 can kidney beans
1 lb russet potatoes, diced
1 can diced tomatoes
1/2 head savoy cabbage
2 leeks, chopped, white and light green parts
1 small onion
4 garlic cloves
1 bay leaf
Directions
combine all ingredients in a large pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until soup is thick (about 2 hours). Stir occasionally. Season with salt and pepper if desired. Sometimes I add a little fennel seed.
