Introduction

I found this in a Taste of Home magazine and used turkey sausage and less brown sugar. It's really tasty! I think some sliced potatoes would be good with it, too. Ingredients

    -1 package (14 oz) Hillshire Farms Turkey smoked sausage
    -1 can 14.5 oz saurkraut, rinsed and drained well
    -3 medium apples, cored and sliced into 8 slices
    -1/4 C packed brown sugar
    -1/8 t black pepper
    -3/4 C unsweetened applejuice

Directions

--Put 1/2 of the kraut in the bottom of the crockpot, then top with the sausage and apples. Sprinkle the brown sugar and pepper on as well. Top with the other half of the kraut and then pour the apple juice over everything. Cover and cook on low for about 4 hours or until the apples are tender.

--Makes 5 servings of 1 C each.
