    6 eggs
    2 1/2 cups sugar
    1/2 cup shortening
    1/2 cup margarine
    2 tsps vanilla extract
    4 cups white flour
    2 tbsps baking powder
    1 tsp salt
    2 cups 2% milk


Preheat oven to 350*F. Generously grease a 12-cup fluted tube pan; set aside. In a large bowl mix eggs, sugar, shortening, butter and vanilla. Beat on high speed until fluffy. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Alternately add flour mixture and milk to creamed mixture, beating well on medium speed after each addition. Turn into the greased pan. Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, ivert to remove and cool on rack.
