Introduction

I think this sauce is close to the marinara sauce made in the Italian restaurant where I used to work. I think this sauce is close to the marinara sauce made in the Italian restaurant where I used to work.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1/4 cup olive oil
    2 medium onions, chopped
    6 cloves garlic, minced
    2 - 28 oz. cans peeled crushed tomatoes
    1/2 t. salt
    1/4 t. black pepper
    1/2 fresh parsley, chopped OR 1/4 dried parsley
    1 t. dried basil
    1 t. dried oregano
    1 t. ground rosemary

Directions

1. Saute onions in oil for 5 minutes; add garlic and saute an additional 2 minutes.

2. Add remaining ingredients ( I rinse cans with some water and add to the saucepan). Simmer until of desired consistency, at least 1 hour.
