Number of Servings: 18

2 1/2 cups old fashioned oats
    1 cup whole wheat flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce
    1/4 cup plain yogurt
2 1/2 tbsp ground flax seed
    1/4 cup honey
    1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries or other dried fruit
    3/4 cup shredded coconut

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except coconut and dried fruit and mix well.
Stir in coconut and dried fruit.
Press mixture into pan. Bake at 325 for 20 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes, then cut into bars. Let bars cool completely in pan before removing or serving (or they will fall apart!).

Makes 12 large granola bars.
