Introduction

Ingredients

    One acorn squash, halved lengthwise
    One tablespoon butter
    One tablespoon brown sugar

Directions

Cut the squash in half lengthwise and scoop out seeds.

Fill oven-safe skillet with one inch of water. Place squash facedown in the water. Bake at 350 for approximately one hour, until squash is soft (a fork can easily go through).

Flip squash so they are right side up and fill each with half a tablespoon butter and brown sugar. Bake another ten minutes, until butter and sugar are melted.

Serve hot!

    Incredible!
    I made this tonight, but instead of baking in oven for one hour, I placed the squash face down in a microwavable torte pan with about 1 1/2 inch of water and cooked for 15 minutes. Then I flipped and baked as directed. I savored every bite. - 1/30/12
