High protein, very filling, quick lunch time meal. High protein, very filling, quick lunch time meal.
Number of Servings: 1

1 Drained can of tuna, about 130 grams
    2 tablespoons chunky peanut butter
    1 medium egg
    25 grams plain porridge oats
    1 teaspoon oil to fry

Serves 1

Whisk egg.
Add oats to egg.
Add peanut butter to mixture
Add drained tuna
Mash together well and allow oats to absorb for a few minutes.

Shape into two rough burgers, not too thick as the peanut butter can cause burgers to burn if cooked too long, so they need to be about half inch thick to allow to cook through.

Cook for a few minutes on each side until set and browned and crisp.

Pookie - these are AWESOME! Who would have thought? Peanut butter & tuna. I split the recipe into 4 mini burgers and ate them on mini pitas over 2 days for lunch. Yum! - 11/2/10
