Introduction

This is a yummy chili that can feed the whole family. Spicy enough to wake up your nose, mild enough not to start your mouth on fire. This is also easy to modify by changing up the Rotel. You can switch to diced tomatoes to reduce spicy-ness, or switch to the Hot Rotel for extra spicy. This is a yummy chili that can feed the whole family. Ingredients

~One pound ground turkey ( I use all white meat)
~1 package of McCormick's Reduced Sodium Taco Seasoning
~2 cans of light kidney beans, drained (16oz each)
~2 cans of dark kidney beans, drained (16 oz each)
~1 15 oz can of corm niblets, drained
~1 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes
~2 10-oz cans of Rotel (I used original)
~2 packs of Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix (powder only)

Directions

1. Brown ground turkey.
2. When complete, mix taco seasoning with meat until all absorbed.
3. Drain all cans of beans and corn. Do not drain tomatoes or Rotel.
4. Add canned ingredients and turkey to crockpot, and stir well.
5. Add ranch dressing powder. Stir well.
6. Cover crockpot, cook on low for about 6 hours (at least). Enjoy!!!

  • Incredible!
I took out the corn and the ranch dressing mix and found this to be fantastic to serve. my husband thought it was just a chili recipe and did not even realize that it was ground turkey not beef in it. This is the way I am going to cook from now on. not tell him. he never can tell - 4/18/12

  • Very Good
I took out the 1 package of McCormick's Reduced Sodium Taco Seasoning and 2 packs of Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix (powder only) way to much sodium in those, and added other spices to taste. It was really good. I look forward to doing it again soon.
