    500 grams of xtra lean ground turkey
    1 medium red pepper, diced
    1 medium yellow pepper, diced
    1 medium green pepper, diced
    1 medium onion, diced
    3 cloves of garlic, minced
    225 grams fresh, sliced mushrooms
    1 large can red kidney beans (about 2 cups)
    2 small cans of brown beans in tomato sauce
    1 can of diced tomatoes (about 1 1/2 cups)
    1 can of tomato sauce (about 1 1/2 cups)
    1 tsp red pepper flakes
    2 tbsp chili powder
    sea salt to taste
    black pepper to taste


Brown turkey. Add vegetables and cook until soft. Add remaining ingreients. Heat through. Cover and cook for at least 30 minutes. This stuff tastes better the longer you cook it. Can even be put in a slow cooker and simmered all day long as long as it is covered.

Serve with fresh grated cheese on top. Maybe some cornbread and a salad.

Makes 12 servings, approx 1 cup each.
