    2 cups Edamame, Shelled,
    2 cloves minced Garlic
    1/3 cup Tahini
    3 tbsp Lemon Juice
    1/2 tsp gound Cumin
    3 oz Water
    2 tbsp Olive Oil


Place edamame and garlic in a food processor and process until pureed. Add tahini lemon juice, and cumin. Process until smooth. With motor running, drizzle in water and olive oil until absorbed.

Can be refreigerated for up to a week.

Service with veggies such as celery and carrot sticks, or toasted pita triangles.

Makes 8 - 1/4 cup servings

  • This was my first attempt at hummus and it turned out reasonably well. Probably if I had a better food processor I could have gotten it smoother and I was hoping for a more exciting taste, but it didn't separate and is tasty enough to eat! My first experience with Tahini. I'd make it again. - 3/29/10
