Introduction
This recipe is usually made with 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk, but it is so rich it tastes just fine with just one can. This recipe is usually made with 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk, but it is so rich it tastes just fine with just one can.Number of Servings: 8
Ingredients
-
1 Graham cracker pie crust
1 can (14 oz) of fat free sweetened condensed milk
1 tub of fat free whipped topping
Directions
1. Remove lable from sweetened condensed milk and boil the UNOPENED can in water for 2 hours. Be sure the can is covered with water... turn or roll the can after 1 hour.
2. ** Very Important**Remove can from water and let it cool for 1 hour. If you open the can too soon you could get burned.
3. Carefully open the can and spoon the caramel (sweetened condensed milk) into the graham cracker pie crust. While the caramel is still a little warm put a thin layer of whipped cream on top of the caramel. This helps some of the cream soak into the caramel. Do not mix it.
4. Refrigerate for about an hour. After the pie has chilled put the remaining whipped cream on top.
5. Garnish with chocolate shavings it you like... I think it makes it look pretty!
