Number of Servings: 120


    1 cup milk
    4 tsp. salt
    3 cps warm water
    6 tabs sugar
    6 tabs Butter flavored Crisco +2 tsp water
    4 1/2 tsp yeast (1/2 oz)
    13 cps flour


Scald milk, stir in 4 tbs. sugar, salt and Crisco.
Add 2 tbs. sugar to warm water and sprinkle yeast over top and stir with a warm spoon. Let proof about 10 mins.
Add lukewarm milk mixture and 1/2 of flour. Beat until smooth. Turn onto floured surface. Knead until smooth and feels just right, let rest. Grease bowl. Place in bowl and grease top of dough. Cover, rise until double in bulk. Punch down and let rest about 15 mins. Divide into 6 loaf pans. Brush beaten egg with a little water and sprinkle sesame seed (optional) on top. Let rise until double in bulk again. In about 45 mins. turn oven on 400 degrees to preheat. let bread rise about 15 mins longer. Bake for 30 mins.
