    1lb ground beef
    2 Johnsonville Italian Sausage (Mild)
    2 can Kidney beans (rised and drained)
    2 cans diced tomatos (basil, garlic, and oregano-no salt added)
    1 7oz can chopped green chilies
    2 cups frozen spinach
    1 cup diced white onion
    2 1/2 cups water
    3tbsp chili powder
    2tbsp cayenne powder
    2tsp cumin
    1/2tbsp cinnamon
    2tbsp garlic powder
    4tbsp honey
    2tsp onion salt
    2tbsp brown sugar
    1 1/2tbsp beef granules


Brown the ground beef and sausage (drain)
Put everything in the slow-cooker and walk away for about 4 to 6 hours

Makes about 8 to 10 (1 cup servings)

  • We enjoyed this, even though we left out the beans and red pepper (we have somebody on a very strict diet). I would make this again. The recipe doesn't say what level to cook on with the slow cooker, but we used the High setting and it worked out well. - 1/18/10
