    1/2 cup butter
    1/3 cup sugar
    1 egg
    3/4 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp vanilla
    -any extra things you wish to top it with, dried fruit, chocolate, nuts, etc.


preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
cream together the butter, sugar, and vanilla. once those are well mixed together beat in the egg.
then mix in the flour and then mix in the vanilla.
grease your cookie sheet and drop the cookies 2 inches apart and top with whatever toppings you want.
bake each batch for 10 minutes.
