Ingredients

Asparagus, fresh, 2 spear, medium (5-1/4" to 7" long)
Garlic, 3 cloves
Salt, 1 dash
Pepper, black, 1 dash
Lemon Peel, 1 tsp
Extra virgin olive oil, 1 tbsp
Almonds, Roasted and Sliced, 0.2 cups
Note: You can also replace roasted almonds with flax seeds, sesame seeds or toasted pine nuts.
Directions
Boil water (enough to blanch the Asparagus) with Salt
Also take another pot with lots of Ice cold water with Ice.
Blanch Asparagus in the boiling water and cover the pot with transparent lid. Within 3-4 minutes remove Asparagus with a pair of tongs. You will see Asparagus turning deep green color.
Take a non-stick pan, add olive oil, minced or chopped garlic, blanched and cooled asparagus, fresh lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
The recipe will be ready in 3-4 minutes. Remove it from stove and sprinkle with roasted/sliced almonds and serve.
