Number of Servings: 8


    1 pound small white beans (navy or other)
    1 large can tomato juice
    1 onion, chopped
    1/2 pound lean ground beef, browned and drained
    3 medium slices bacon, cooked, drained, and crumbled
    1 tsp dry mustard
    3 tbsp vinegar
    5 tbsp honey
    Salt and pepper to taste


Soak beans for 12 hours. Rinse and drain. Cover with fresh water and cook on the stove until soft. Rinse and drain.

Combine cooked beans and all remaining ingredients. Pour into a large pan (9 by 13 or larger). Bake at 300 - 325 degrees until not runny at all. This usually takes about 4 hours at 325 degrees.

Makes about 8 1-cup servings.
