Ingredients

2 cups White Flour
1.5 tsp Salt (couldn't add the .5 tsp in the ingredients)
4 tsp Baking Powder
8 tbsp (.5 cup) Crisco Shortening
1 large fresh Egg
2/3 cup 1% Milk
Directions
* In a medium sized mixing bowl, cut together all dry ingredients
* Cut in shortening
* In a small bowl, beat egg and add to flour mixture
* Add milk to flour mixture
* Knead well (about 20 times is recommended)
* Roll onto a floured surface, like a log, then cut the dough into biscuit rounds, approx 1 inch each
* Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 10 - 12 minutes
* Enjoy with your favourite spread
** For dessert-type biscuits, use 1/2 tsp of salt and 1 tbsp of sugar; top with fresh whipped cream and berries or your favourite jam
