Introduction

This recipe is very versatile. You can add or subtract veggies. Freezes well too. This recipe is very versatile. You can add or subtract veggies. Freezes well too.

Ingredients

    2/3 cup bread crumbs
    1 cup milk
    1 1/2 pound ground deer or beef, turkey (what you have)
    1 egg
    chopped onions, peppers
    herb of your choice (i like oregano)
    salt and pepper
    hot sauce (optionnal)
    sauce:
    3 tbsp brown sugar
    1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
    1/4 cup ketsup + hotsauce
    1 tsp dried mustard

Directions

Mix together the milk and bread crumbs, leave them for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, mix together the meat, egg, veggies, herb, salt, pepper and hotsauce (if you want). Add the bread crumbs and milk.
Put in a bread pan or in a crockpot. (for the crockpot, i put carrots on the bottom).
For the sauce, mix all the ingredients and pour on the meat.
Cook 1 hour at 350 or in the crockpot for about 6 hours.
