Grill Cheese "Frenched" Grill Cheese "Frenched"

    1/2 tbsp dijon
    1/2 tbsp low fat mayo (HFCS FREE)
    4 slices whole grain bread
    85 grams thinly sliced, natural smoked ham. Low sodium if possible.
    50 grams gruyere cheese, shredded
    1 large, fresh egg
    2 tbsp low fat milk
    dash pepper


Combine dijon and mayo in a small bowl. Spread a little over each of 4 slices of bread. Layer on top the ham and cheese. Sprinkle with the pepper. Top with remaining slices of bread. Mayo/dijon on the inside of the sandwish.
In a shallow dish beat egg with milk. Dip each side of the sandwich in the egg mixture.
In a heated non-stick skillet over medium heat, spray a little cooking spray. Add sandwiches and cook for about 3 minutes on each side. Or until lightly browned and cheese is melted.

Makes 2 sandwiches.
