    2 Tablespoons Butter
    3-4 Cloves Garlic


1) Peel and clean about 18 large sized shrimp. Toss with a little olive oil, salt and pepper and set aside in a bowl
2) Mince 4 cloves of garlic (set aside)
3) Dice 2 tomatoes (removing seeds)
4) Clean and coarsely chop 12+ leaves of basil
5) Set pasta water to boil over high heat - add sea salt to water

5) Heat a large pan over med heat. Melt 1 1/2 tablespoons of butter and saute minced garlic (reserving approx. 1 clove) until lightly golden
6) Add 1/2 cup of dry white wine & 1 jar of clam broth, 1 tsp of dried basil and salt/pepper to taste. Simmer over med heat and then add diced tomatoes and half of chopped basil. Remove from heat
7) Add black pasta and cook to al dente (10 mins for the pasta listed)
8) while the pasta is cooking in a separate pan melt remaining butter and garlic and place shrimp in a single layer on the bottom of the pan. Cook until just pink - turn and cook the other side. Note: do not over-cook because it will finish cooking in the broth.
9) Return the broth to med-low heat. Add shrimp.
10) Deglaze shrimp pan with a splash of wine. Scrape all browned remnants in the pan and add to the broth mixture
11) Drain cooked pasta and add to broth & toss with remaining chopped basil.
