Introduction

Ingredients

    For the seasoning mix:
    - 1 tbsp. chili powder
    - 1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
    - 1/2 tsp. paprika
    - 1/2 tsp. black pepper
    - 1/2 tsp. sea salt
    - 1/4 tsp. ground cayenne pepper
    - 1/4 tsp. dried oregano
    - 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
    - 1/4 tsp. onion powder
    - 1/4 tsp. garlic powder

    For the taco filling:
    - 1 package of Morningstar Farms crumbles
    - 2-3 tbsp. water

    Extras:
    - 2 cups of shredded romaine lettuce
    - 1.5 cups of ShopRite Finely Shredded Mexican Blend Cheese
    - 1 container of Breakstones Reduced-Fat Sour Cream
    - 1 jar of Ortega Thick & Chunky Salsa (Medium)
    - 1 package of 12 Ortega Taco Shells

Directions

Makes approx. 6 2/3-cup servings.

Mix the spices together in a small dish and put off to the side. ((Two heaping tablespoons of the prepared spices will approximate one packet of commercial seasoning mix, so if you want more or less keep that in mind.))

In a shallow frying pan, add the entire package of Morningstar crumbles and let sit over low heat to warm for about five minutes, stirring occasionally.

After five minutes, add two tablespoons of water and two heaping tablespoons of the seasoning mix and stir. If you require more water, add another tablespoon. Test the crumbles to see if they are cooked and if so, you are done!

Fill taco shells with the seasoned crumbles and add your favorite taco toppings! Its that easy.

A 'serving' is two tacos, and I would load one taco up as follows to approximate the calories listed:

- 27 grams seasoned Morningstar crumbles
- 2 tbsp. shredded cheese
- 2 tbsp. shredded lettuce
- 1 tbsp. salsa
- 1 tbsp. sour cream
