    2 tbls. olive oil
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 c. onion, chopped
    1 c. celery, chopped
    6 ounces tomato paste
    2 1/2 qts beef stock (or water and bouillion)
    1 c. frozen peas
    1 c. carrots, diced
    pepper to taste
    ,5 tsp basil
    1 can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
    1 can garbonzo beans, rinsed and drained
    1 c. elbow macaroni


Heat oil. Saute garlic, onion and celery 5 minutes. Stir in tomato paste and next 6 ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer, simmer one hour. Add beans and macaroni, cook an additional 15 minutes.
