Quick and easy warm spiced hot cereal that tastes like french toast! Quick and easy warm spiced hot cereal that tastes like french toast!
Number of Servings: 2


    1/4 cup Bob's Red Mill Mighty Tasty Gluten Free Hot Cereal
    1 cup water
    3/4 cup almond breeze (vanilla unsweetened)
    1.5 teaspoons sugar in the raw
    Pinch of salt
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
    1 teaspoon pure maple syrup (reserved for topping)


Bring 1 cup water to a boil, add .25 cup dry hot cereal and a pinch of salt. Reduce heat to simmer and cover for 2 minutes. Whisk in 1/2 of the almond milk and simmer for an additional minute until incorporated. Add the remainder of the almond milk and simmer 2 minutes- mixture should become thick and creamy with grains softened. Stir in sugar and spices and simmer for one minute. Serve in a bowl and top with a 1/2 teaspoon drizzle of pure maple syrup. Makes two servings.
