A simple spaghetti sauce A simple spaghetti sauce

    Cooking spray
    5 medium to large sized mushrooms, sliced
    1/2 large vidalia onion, chopped
    Tomato Puree, one large can
    Diced tomatoes, no salt added, one 14.5oz can
    one tsp sugar
    oregano, basil, marjoram, thyme, and garlic to taste


Spray large saucepan with cooking spray
Sautee mushrooms and onion over medium high heat until onions are just soft, but not transparent. Add herbs and sautee one or two minutes longer.
Add canned tomatoes, tomato puree, and sugar.
Reduce heat to low and simmer at least 30 minutes to one hour.
Makes 6 3/4 cup servings
