    Two small gala apples
    1/2 cup of fresh blueberries
    1 Tbsp sugar
    splash orange juice

    1/2 cup all purpose flour
    3/8 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. baking soda
    4 tsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. chilled sweet unsalted butter
    1/4 cup sour cream (reduced fat is better)
    1 tsp. sugar
    splash lowfat milk


Pre-heat oven to 350.

Peel and dice apples, combine with blueberries in medium mixing bowl. Add sugar and splash of orange juice. Toss until all fruit is coated. Spoon mixture into four individual oven safe dishes.

Whisk together all dry ingredients (Flour, sugar, soda, powder, salt) in large mixing bowl. When blended, cut in cold butter, using pastry knife or two butter knives, until mealy. Mix in sour cream to create dough. scoop a drop of dough onto each fruit mixture, flattening to cover. Brush tops with milk, dust with remaining teaspoon of sugar. Bake 45 minutes or until tops brown.
