    1 lb trimmed stew meat
    3/4 med onion, diced
    2 beef bullion cubes
    Mrs Dash seasoning
    2 bay leaves
    Garlic powder
    2 large potatoes, cubed
    2 c baby carrots
    2 tbsp cornstarch
    2 tbsp flour


In two batches, brown half of the meat with half of the chopped onion. Place first batch into 5-6 quart pot, brown other half and place in pot as well. Add enough water to pot to cover meat. Add spices and bay leaves, bring to a boil. Once at a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.

At one hour, put carrots into pot and stir. After the carrots are in for 30 minutes, add potatoes. Simmer for another 25 minutes. In a liquid measuring cup, add 1 T cornstarch, 1 T flour, and 2 T water. Whisk until free of lumps, stir into stew. Repeat. Serve.
