Number of Servings: 1


    1) Oats - 2 tbsp
    2) Water - 1/2 cup
    3) Milk - 1/2 cup - I used low fat milk
    4) Salt - a dash (optional, I did not use this)
    5) Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
    6) Nutmeg powder - 1 tsp
    7) Cloves - 2
    8) Sugar - 1 tsp (optional, you can even leave this out)


1) Boil the water and add the oats and stir till the oats look half done.
2) Add the milk and simmer. Add the other ingredients adn allow it to simmer till the oats are completely done.
You can add any fruit to this porridge and have it and it tastes absolutely delicious and takes no time at all to cook.
This makes about 1 cup of porridge.

    Hi, I tried this recipe, but something went wrong: 2 tbsp oatmeal did not take in 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup milk. It was very runny, looked like a soup. Is it supposed to look so? - 9/6/11
