Ingredients

1) Cabbage - shredded - 1/4 small
2) Carrot - 1 chopped
3) Cloves - 2
4) Cardamom - 2
5) Onions -1 chopped
6) Garlic - 2 cloves peeled and chopped
7) Pepper to taste
8) Salt to taste
9) Dried rosemary and thyme - 1 tsp each
Directions
1) Peel and chop the vegetables and garlic. Shred the cabbage.
2) In a saucepan, saute the onions and garlic. Add cloves and cardamom
3) Add about 3 cups of water, add the herbs and the cabbage and carrot and allow to boil for about ten minutes
4) Simmer for ten more minutes (until the water level has reduced to about 2/3 of the original level)and then grind the mixture.
5) Place in the saucepan again and add salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for about five minutes
Makes 4 1/2 cup servings of soup.
