A delicious recipe for brussels sprouts A delicious recipe for brussels sprouts
Number of Servings: 2

1 cup medium-sized brussels sprouts, de-stemmed and halved
    3 tbsp butter
    1/2 tsp salt
    fresh ground black pepper
    1/8 cup fresh sage, chopped

Add brussels sprouts to boiling water and boil for approx 5 minutes until bright green. Meanwhile, melt butter in a large sauce pan over medium heat until the butter is foamy and nutty brown. This will burn off about a half tbsp of butter. When butter is browned, add drained sprouts to saucepan and cook for 5 minutes. Add sage, salt, and pepper, stir sprouts to coat evenly. Cook for another 5-6 minutes or until sprouts are warm throughout and tender (but not soft). Serve warm.
