An Italian Classic, lightened up with turkey sausage. Yummy! An Italian Classic, lightened up with turkey sausage. Yummy!

    3 cups Barilla Plus Penne, uncooked
    4 links Turkey Italian sausage (hot or sweet accorking to your taste), casing removed
    3 cups Classico Vodka Pasta Sauce
    1/4 cup thinly chopped fresh basil leaves, plus extra for garnish
    1/4 grated parmesan cheese


Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and set aside. While pasta is cooking, spray a heavy skillet with olive oil cooking spray and cook sausage over med. high heat, breaking into small pieces, until browned. Add pasta sauce and 1/4 cup basil to pan. Reduce heat to medium and stir to combine. Cooking until heated through. Add the cooked and drained pasta and toss. Remove to serving plate and top with grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil for garnish.
Makes 6 servings.
