Introduction

I love custard and bruelee and this is a lower calorie tasty version of a major comfort food for me.

Can use regular sugar or Splenda~splenda will lower the calories/sugars.

Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    1/2 C 2% milk
    1/2 C fat free half and half
    1 egg
    3 TB sugar or Splenda
    3/4 tsp vanilla extract
    1/8 tsp salt
    1/8 tsp nutmeg for sprinkling

Directions

Beat the egg, add milk, sugar, vanilla, & salt, whisk together till blended. Pour into custard cups/ramekins. Place in small pan with water half way up ramekins and bake in 350 degree oven 35-40 min until set. Chill for later or eat warm. Major comfort food can also put brown sugar/splenda in bottom of custard cups before adding the custard for a flan like bottom.
