    20.8 oz turkey, ground
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    1 tbsp chili powder
    1.5 tsp cumin
    1.5 tsp coriander
    .5 tsp oregano
    1 tsp cinnamon
    .5 marjoram
    1 cup tomato sauce
    2 cans whole tomatoes, drained and chopped
    2 cups black beans, drained and rinsed
    1/4 cup chopped cilantro
    2 cloves of garlic, minced


in a large stock pot, put in turkey, spices, garlic, pepper. cook until turkey is no longer pink.

add tomatoes and tomato sauce. bring to a boil. then simmer for 5 min uncovered

add cilantro and beans and cook for another 5 min

serve with shredded low fat cheese

    I made this over the weekend and took it over to my parents. They said it was the best chili they ever had. I did add a little bit more garlic and chili powder. I love seasoning. I will be making this one again!! - 2/8/10

  • I was nervous about the cinnamon but ended up pleasantly surprised! I agree this didn't have enough spice. I would use more chili powder next time. I tweaked this recipe a little by adding a large sweet onion, four stalks of celery (and a lot of Franks Hot Sauce at the table)! - 8/5/13

  • tried this last year after husband had a heart attack we love loved it! then made for a chili cook-off(without telling them it was turkey) and i won 1st place!!! and nobody knew was turkey either so i would have to say.... this recipe is a keeper for my family. - 8/12/12
