Introduction

Sweet and Sour sauce with meatballs. Very good but a little high on sodium. Sweet and Sour sauce with meatballs. Very good but a little high on sodium.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    Italian Style Meatballs, frozen (about 36 meatballs)
    1 can Pineapple Chunks ( reserve juice)
    2 TBSP cornstarch
    1/2 c brown sugar
    1/4 tsp ginger
    1/3 c vinegar
    1 TBSP lite soy sauce
    1/3 C chopped green pepper

Directions

Microwave meatballs on paper towels to absorb grease for about twenty minutes or until unthawed.

Mix cornstarch, ginger, and brown sugar together. Stir in reserved pineapple juice, vinegar, and soy sauce.

Pour into skillet: cook over medium heat until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 min. Add meatballs, pineapple, and green pepper; heat through.

Can be served over rice.
