    5 ounces smoked turkey sausage
    1 1/2 c thinly sliced lek
    2 cloves garlic, minced.
    32 oz low sodium vegetable or chicken broth
    1 tsp dried thyme
    1/4 tsp hot sauce
    2 (14-1/2oz) cans no salt added stewed tomatoes, undrained


Cut sausage into 1/4 inch slices; cut each slice in half. Place in large non stick saucepan over medium-high heat until hot. Add sausage; saute 3 minutes. Add leek and garlic; cook 3 minutes, stirring occassionally. Add lentils and broth. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes.
Stir in thyme, and remaining ingredients into sausage mixture; bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat, Simmer 15 minutes or until lentils are tender.
