Ingredients

250gms Red beans, 1 cup oil, 1 med onion, 4 cloves garlic minced, 1 green chilli, 100 gms/ 4oz tomato puree or 3 large tomatoes pureed. Salt, red chilli, turmeric, garam masala( available at indian store)
Directions
clean the red beans & keep aside.
heat oil in pressure cooker. add onions and garlic n saute until browned. add beans and 1 cup of water and boil. when the water is boiling add 750ml more water, tomato puree, salt, chilli, red pepper, turmeric and pressure cook. once the whistle blows, keep it on medium heat for 20 min.
open the cooker , add garam masala n keep it simmering until the water no longer forms a ring around the gravy when spooned with laddle.
Alternatively you can all ingrediants in slow cooker n keep it low for 8-10 hrs. ps. add browned onion an garlic.
Makes minimum 10 servings. you can make more by adding water to taste.
