Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    -2 cups flour
    -3 tsp baking powder
    -1 tsp salt
    -7 tbsp shortening
    -2/3 cup milk

    -3 tbsp margarine
    -1/3 cup brown sugar
    -1/2 cup raisins, unpacked
    -2 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees
2. In large bowl, mix flour, salt and baking powder. Cut in shortening and add just enough milk so that dough can form ball.
3. Knead dough.
4. Roll out into a large rectangle thinly (about as thick as your pinky). Smooth margarine over rectangle, sprinkle cinnamon over it and then brown sugar and raisons.
5. Roll rectangle into a long log. Cut into 12 pieces.
6. Bake for about 12 - 16 minutes, or until golden brown.

Makes 12 pieces.
