    20 oz. Hurst's Hambeens 15 Bean Soup Dry Beans
    1 lb. ham, ham hocks, or smoked sausage, chopped
    1 cup onion, chopped
    1 15 oz. can stewed or diced tomatoes
    1 tsp. chili powder
    Juice of 1 lemon
    1 - 2 cloves garlic, minced


Makes 16 servings, approximately 3/4 cup each.

Was bean mix in collander and drain.

Place in crock pot (6 qt.) with chopped meat and approximately 1 qt. water.

Sitr. Cook covered on High for 6 hours, adding water if necessary to keep ingredients covered.

Add onion, tomatoes, chili powder, lemon and garlic. Reduce temp to Low and contnue cooking for 2 hours more.

About 5 minutes before serving, change heat to High and add the seasoning packet included with the beans, stirring well.
