Ingredients

    2 cups flour ( I used half whole wheat)
    1 teaspoon Baking soda
    .5 teaspoon Baking Powder
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    .25 teaspoon salt
    .25 teaspoon allspice
    .25 teaspoon nutmeg

    2 eggs, lightly beaten
    1.25 cups applesauce
    1 cup Splenda
    3 Tablespoon oil
    3 Tablespoons milk
    1 banana, mashed

    .5 cups walnuts chopped

    Topping:
    .25 cup walnuts chopped
    .25 cup brown sugar
    .5 teaspoon cinnamon


Directions

In a bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Combine the eggs, applesauced, splenda, oil banana and milk; add to the dry ingredients just untiloistened. Fold in walnuts.

Transfer to a greased and floured 9 x 5 loaf pan.

Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle over batter. Bat at 350 for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.

Yields one loaf - 10 - 12 slices
