Introduction
This flatbread is related to pita and is quick and easy to make. This flatbread is related to pita and is quick and easy to make.Number of Servings: 24
Ingredients

6 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 oz (1 packet) dry yeast
1 tsp salt
3 cups tepid water
Directions
Stir yeast packet into 1/4 cup of the water to activate. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl to form dough. Cover with plastic wrap and let sit in warm place for at least 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 450°. Divide dough into 12 balls. Roll each ball into a circle as thin as you can. Bake for 5 minutes. Place on rack to cool. Serve with hummus, babaganoush, or your favorite Mid-Eastern dip ot topping. You can also use this as a quick pizza base. Serving size is half of one piece (or divide the dough into 24 smaller balls and make individual servings).
Variations: Add flax meal for extra fiber.
