This is my go-to quick breakfast or evening meal when I have eaten a late lunch or a huge amount already that day. It is a light snack to tide me over from lunch to dinner, too if I need that with my blood sugar sinking at mid-afternoon. Ingredients

    * Spinach, fresh, 4 cup
    * Water 2 cup (16 ounces total)
    * Banana, frozen with skin on 3 small (6" to 6-7/8" long) but peeled before adding to blender.
    * Apples, fresh, 1 small apple cored but not peeled
    * 1 pear, small cored but not peeled
    * Grapes, 1 cup, seedless

Directions

You need a really good blender for this kind of smoothie.

I add the spinach and water in first and blend until chopped completely.
Then I add the bananas and blend again until smooth
I then put in the apple, pear and grapes and blend thoroughly
I will also add ice cubes if I want it colder but only about 4 or 5. The frozen bananas often make it cold enough.
