Ingredients

    2 chicken thighs (or breast)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tbsp. olive oil
    2 cups chopped green cabbage
    1 med. onion, thinly slice
    1 c. baby carrots
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    3/4 c. reisling wine (or any simalar wht. wine)
    3/4 c. chicken broth
    2 tbsp. tomato paste
    1/3 c. water
    2 tbsp. flour

Directions

Season chicken and brown in olive oil. remove from pan and keep warm. saute cabbage, onions and garlic in same pan in drippings until onions are soft. place chicken back in pot along with carrots, mix wine, broth and tomato paste together and pour over chicken. Cover and cook on simmer about 60 minutes or until chicken is tender and juices run clear. remover all with a slotted spoon leaving the juices. stir water and flour together and stir into broth, cook while stirring until thickened. (I sometimes add two halved potatoes to make it a meal) serves 2
