Introduction

A twist on regular meatloaf. Slice cold leftovers and put into pitas with some cucumbers, tomatoes and onions for a gyro sandwich. A twist on regular meatloaf. Slice cold leftovers and put into pitas with some cucumbers, tomatoes and onions for a gyro sandwich.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 lb. ground lamb
    1 egg
    6 cloves garlic, minced
    1 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
    3 Tbsp. dried oregano
    1 tsp. pepper

Directions

Mix all ingredients and put into a 9x5 loaf pan. Bake uncovered for 60 - 70 minutes, or until no pink remains and meat thermometer reaches 160*.

Can use cold leftovers to make gyros sandwiches.
